Description: This painting was an attempt to merge modern subject matter with classic impressionism context. Drawing inspiration from Monet’s Water Lily paintings, I positioned a Lamborghini Miura on the surface of a pond and surrounded it with water lilies. For this painting, I had to mentally combine imagery from multiple reference images, given that I obviously could not find a photo that depicts the scene I wanted to paint. Capturing the reflection of the car in the water was certainly challenging, but also a lot of fun.
