Description: Based on a picture taken by motorsports photographer, Rob Woodham, this oil painting depicts the Team Champ 1 Motorsports Mercedes AMG GT3 in the garage being prepped for the track at the 2018 Targa 66. In this painting, I attempted to capture the subject in the style of impressionism by using loose brush strokes and broken color. This particular reference photo caught my eye due to the lighting and contrast in the garage, highlighting the front of the car emerging from the shadows to feature the team’s colorful livery.
